Review L'Oreal Skin Perfection

Today’s post will be my review of the L'Oreal Skin Perfection line or in the US it's called Youth Code, I think.

I have 3 products from this line, a BB Cream that I received in my Glossy Box a while back, the Correcting Serum and the Porefiller Base that I recently bought.

I did a review on the BB Cream on my Facebook page when I received it (www.facebook.com/makemeupbydra) and I was not really impressed. So after a while I forgot about it and I didn’t use it, when I bought the serum and the base I thought let’s give it another go, but my opinion hasn’t changed! It would be more of a use like a moisturizer and it is a total waste of tint because I don’t really see any coverage at all, not even minimal!!! So that is all that I have to say about that, there are better BB’s out there like the Garnier that I use often.

I could not find the box of my BB-cream so I found this picture on the internet instead

The Correcting Serum I am not sure about and the reason is that I feel that my skin looks great!!! But…..I don’t know, is it because of my hormones or is it because of the Serum?! Although I had my baby 10 months ago, I am still breast feeding and due to the hormones that are present I didn’t get my period yet, that’s why I am not so sure what is causing my skin improvement!

Right after I gave birth, ah my skin and my hair were so beautiful almost felt like a teenager lol, then after 3 months when pregnancy hormones went away yep everything changed, I had pimples mostly around my jaw and neck area and such a terrible hair loss. That calmed down after a while and like two weeks ago I started to use the Serum.

It says on the box that the pores should decrease, your skin should feel smooth and your overall complexion should be even without discoloration.

The Serum contains 2 main ingredients the LR 2412 correcting part of the skins structure and the Perline-P optimizes the skin quality: pores, skin surface and complexion.

My thoughts of the Serum, when you put it on your skin and you massage it in to your pores, the product is absorbed quickly leaving your skin smooth and complexion radiant. I actually like it a lot, but as I said is it the Serum or my hormones?
And the third product is the Magical Porefiller Base! The reason why I bought this is because I heard good reviews on You Tube, they said that it was a cheaper version of Benefit’s Porefesssional!

Now I was just looking for such a miracle because I was not so keen on spending little over €30 for a primer!!!
To be honest I have used it only once and you know what happens when you expect too much of something and it doesn’t happen, you get disappointed. Well that just happened, I felt like mwa, is this it???
Now don’t get me wrong I didn’t expect that my pores would literary disappear, but at least be a little diffused, what I was really hoping for actually is that with my foundation on top, it would be flawless. My pores are not “that” large or “that” visible but with foundation on it doesn’t look good to ME.
The texture of the base feels nice and soft, it applies nicely over your skin, no problems with that.

So over all my thoughts about the line, I really like the Serum and I will continue to use it just to see out of curiosity if the product itself does all the magic.
The BB cream maybe I will use it on days that I don’t wear any makeup and just need a moisturizer, will I repurchase it? No.
The Magical Base I will use like any other primer, I will give it another go because I have used it only once.

The price is reasonable for certain products like the Serum, but the Base is a total turn off for me because you get ONLY 15ml for that price. I think for European conditions it is overpriced if I would compare to the US.

  • Skin Perfection Corecting Serum, 30ml €16,99
  • Skin Perfection Magic Base, 15ml €14,99
  • Skin Perfection BB Cream 5-in-1 Instant Perfector, 50ml €14,99
This is it for my review on the Skin Perfector line from L’Oréal, let me know what you think of this review in the comments below, do you like it or not?

If you use these products yourself let me know how they appeal to you!!!
